A world class property with near panoramic views atop Monte Sano Mountain. The overall intention of the property is the blending of outside and inside spaces. The home was designed by award winning architect Alan Dynerman and patterned after Frank Lloyd Wright.
The main floor of the home is large and quite open with 32 feet ceilings in the main living space. The living room features five inch thick custom windows framed in Honduran mahogany. Electric controlled blinds are available to control light. African black slate flooring extends to the bluffside terrace. The slate also flows nicely into the heated maple floors also on the main floor. All rooms have custom built in shelves made of African pear wood. Honduran mahogany flooring is used in the library. While this home is grand in scale, it maintains an intimate feel due to the partial walls in high ceiling areas and many available quiet spaces such as the library.
Second story bedrooms and baths are accessed by a curving maple sculptural stairway. The master floor is bamboo and features a beautiful bath.
A 2000 bottle wine cellar with computer organized bins await the wine enthusiast in the basement. A Storm Room is also on this floor with a mini suite.
One bluff side infinity edge pool cascades into another in an L configuration that ends in an infinity edge hot tub with gangplank viewing of the bluff. The heart of the bluff is the Pool House which can be totally opened up to the outdoors. The Pool House includes a workout area, kitchen, living room and two dressing rooms with a dry sauna.
An historic caboose sits at the back of the property and serves as the renovated guesthouse. The caboose features a bedroom, bath, deck with hot tub, living room, small loft, kitchen and dining area. Quite an experience for guests of this estate.
Multiple balconies, terraces and outdoor spaces grace this lovely home. A perfect entertaining venue.
